One of my favorite seasonal colour analysis sessions of 2024 was with the delightful and insightful Sile O’Broin. A fascinating world citizen who had a peripatetic childhood that sparked a lifelong thirst for adventure, Sile has worked as a business nomad in over 25 countries and is fluent in five languages, in addition to a working knowledge of Mandarin. Given her life experience, Sile is uniquely qualified to help expatriates in Italy face the challenges of bridging different cultures.
What I love and admire about Sile is her ability to face her fears and not only overcome them but excel in ways that transform the original challenge into a mastered skill. For example, when she realized that a fear of public speaking was holding her back, she joined a local Toastmasters club in Rome. Just a few years later, she is now the club’s president, helping others in weekly meetings to conquer their own fears of public speaking.
This is emblematic of how Sile approaches life: any struggle she encounters, she overcomes, masters, and then uses her experience to help others. This quality makes her a natural fit for her multifaceted roles. In addition to her career as a multilingual communications consultant, she is a mindset coach specializing in supporting women to break free from deep-rooted feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. To achieve this, Sile has developed her own unique blend of transformational coaching, incorporating Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques alongside the powerful HeartHealing®️ modality. In fact, she is one of only three licensed HeartHealing®️ practitioners in Italy, and the only one in Rome who blends this modality with other techniques. Using this powerful holistic approach, Sile has helped women dismantle lifelong negative patterns within months, often succeeding where more traditional approaches have failed.
In addition to her many professional achievements and her spontaneous eloquence, Sile has the gift of a twinkle in her eye and a disarming smile. It was such a pleasure to see her discover her power colours, which enhanced her radiant demeanor even further. When I asked her what advice she would give her 15-year-old self, she offered something both surprising and profound: “Have more fun!”
As we reach the end of 2024, Sile’s advice resonates deeply. Here’s to finding, creating, and making more room for joy—and the joy that colours can bring us—in 2025!
